At AAA T.L.C, our home care service offers a wide range of home health aids, home caregivers all over Southern California and caregiver los angeles. Our home health aides are licensed & certified to provide home management and personal care to our clients from 4-24 hours per day. Our home health aides are responsible for the safety and well being of our clients with tender loving care. Caregivers are flexible and will work in any setting facility, hospital or comfort of clients home.
Job duties of our in home caregivers may include:
- Implementing & supporting best plan of care for client without interfering with the patient's rights & lifestyle
- Caregivers record a list of all medications used by the client. They chart usage & help assist/remind client to take medications
- Records & charts clients vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, oxygen saturation
- Caregivers also monitor & chart blood sugar levels of clients if needed
- Experienced with medical devices such canes and walkers
- From non critical to critical cases
- Maintains a safe environment for client at home looking out for possible fire hazards, fall risk precautions, caregivers maintain adequate nutrition by looking in client's fridge and making sure food is not spoiled or rotten
- All caregivers should be provided with or will make a emergency contact list, which will include numbers of all family members, hospitals, client's doctors information in case of emergency
- Our home health aids provide companionship by reading, conversing and listening to client
- Participates in recreational activities hobbies such as playing board games & cards for sensory stimulation
- Assist with walks, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, going to doctor appointments and experienced with medical devices. Assist with medical devices
- Ambulation assistance. Some clients need help in and out wheel chairs, beds, etc
- Can provide transportation to grocery stores, outside activities
- Home health aides will also provide light house keeping, laundry linen changes
- Meals: patient feeding responsibilities- Some patients will require direct feeding, while others may need their meal tray brought to them and set up
- Oral care, nail care and basic hygiene
- Home health aides will turn bed-ridden patients. This is done to take weight off pressure points and prevent bedsores from occurring
- Changing of bed and collecting soiled laundry
- Light cleaning and organizing of area or rooms
- Home caregiver will chart moods, vital signs, meal consumption, liquid intake and daily bowl and bladder output
